WET WEATHER POLICY

LIGHT RAIN: IF YOU EXPERIENCE A LIGHT SHOWER DURING YOU HIRE, WE ASK THAT YOU:
– Remove patrons from the Inflatable/s – Leave inflatable switched on – Cover the Blowers, Extension Leads with our Safety Mats
ONCE RAIN HAS STOPPED

  • We suggest that you open one of the zippers part way on the side of the Inflatable/s
  • Then get an adult to walk inside the Inflatable and help guide the water back towards the exit point. This will get most of the water out.
  • Once majority of the Water has been removed from the Inflatable, we ask that you use a Towel to dry whatever water is left inside the Inflatable/s
  • Once dry, you will need to close the Zipper that you have opened. To do this, you must shut down all the Blowers that are on. If you try and close the Zipper with the Blowers running, the zipper is most likely to tear from all the Air Pressure. Never try and close a Zipper if the Blowers are running.
  • The Patrons can now be allowed to play on the Inflatable again.

HEAVY RAIN: IF YOU EXPERIENCE A HEAVY RAIN DURING THE COURSE OF YOUR HIRE, WE ASK THAT YOU:

  • Remove patrons from the Inflatable
  • Turn Inflatables off
  • Disconnect the Power Supply
  • Cover the Blowers, Extension Leads with our Safety Mats

ONCE RAIN HAS STOPPED

  • Reconnect the Power Supply and turn on the Blowers
  • The Inflatable may not inflate properly because of the water that is sitting on it. You may need to remove water from the shade covers and as it inflates, an adult will need to walk inside the inflatable and try and get as much water out as possible. Again, you can potentially open one of the zippers if required, to make it easier to get the water out
  • Once majority of the water has been removed, we ask that you use a towel to dry whatever is left inside. Keep in mind, if there has been substantial rain, Water is most likely to have seeped into the internal sections of the Inflatable. This will mean that even if you have wiped down the Inflatable, there is most likely to be more water that is pushed out through the seams of the Inflatable by the air pressure. This is something that you will need to keep an eye on.
  • Do not use the Inflatable for at least 30 minutes after this procedure and then wipe down the Inflatable again. This should remove most of the water. Again, you will need to monitor the Inflatable to see if more water has been pushed out through the seams before letting patrons onto the product.
  • Once the Inflatable is dry, you will need to closer the zipper that you opened. To do this, you must shut down all the Blowers. If you try and close the zipper with the Blowers running, the zipper is most likely to tear from the Air Pressure. Never close a zipper if the Blowers are on.
  • The Patrons can now be allowed to play on the Inflatable again

LIGHTNING: IF THERE IS ANY LIGHTNING ABOUT

  • Immediately remove patrons from the Inflatable
  • Turn Inflatables off
  • Disconnect the Power Supply
  • Cover the Blowers, Extension Leads with our Safety Mats

Once Lightning has passed, depending on if any rain has fallen please refer to the above procedures (Once Rain Has Stopped) to get the Inflatable up and running.

WIND POLICY

WIND IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ISSUE FOR INFLATABLES. OUR WIND POLICY IS SET IN STONE, IF WIND SPEEDS EXCEED 30KMP THE INFLATABLE MUST BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. YOU ONLY NEED TO LOOK UP “INFLATABLES BLOWING AWAY” ON YOU TUBE TO UNDERSTAND THE DANGERS INVOLVED WHEN AN INFLATABLE IS NOT SHUT DOWN DURING STRONG WINDS. HIRER MUST ALWAYS BE OBSERVING THE WEATHER WHIST INFLATABLE IS IN THERE CARE. WIND SPEEDS CAN CHANGE SUDDENDLY AND IF  YOU HESITATE IN MAKING A DECISION TO SHUT DOWN INFLATABLE, THE CONSEQUENCES CAN BE CATASTROPHIC.

The following procedures are to be followed when Winds Reach 30kmp

  • Evacuate Inflatables immediately
  • Turn off Blowers, disconnect power supply.
  • Open zippers to help the Inflatable deflate quicker
  • Place all Safety Mats in a secure location, so that they cannot become airborne and a potential safety hazard
  • Before re-entering the Inflatable, please check out the following Website to see what the wind speeds for your area are and if the wind speeds will stay below the required Safety Limit.

WILLY WEATHER LINK: https://wind.willyweather.com.au

Once wind speeds have dropped back below the acceptable limits, the Inflatable can be re-connected and once fully inflated, patrons may begin to use it.

A FEW THINGS TO BE MINDFUL OF REGARDING WIND SPEEDS

  • Our Inflatables are designed to withstand Wind Speeds of up to 38kmp
  • Our Policy stipulates that the Inflatable must be shut down once Wind Speeds have reached 30kmp
  • 30kmp Wind Speeds most likely mean that the Wind Gusts are closer to 40kmp
  • It only takes one strong wind gust to rip Inflatables from there Tie Down Points
  • Once Inflatable has let go from even 1 spot, the rest of the Inflatable is most likely to follow suit.
  • There is extremely limited opportunity to do anything once Inflatable has let go, so it is extremely important that you shut off Inflatable before Wind Speeds become an issue.
  • If an Inflatable has let go, we ask that you immediately call us.
  • An unsecure Inflatable must not be used until we have arrived on site and given such permission.

LOCATION ISSUES

If we arrive at the destination and there are issues with the location that we are needing to setup, Aussie Inflatables reserves the right to leave the premises and the rentee can be charged 100% of the hire at the discretion of Aussie Inflatables. Reasons for this situation occurring include but are not limited to:

  • Uneven Surface
  • Ground is too hard for Inflatable to be Safely Secured
  • Unsafe Surface (gravel, rocks, dirt)
  • No Access to Setup Area
  • No Power Supply within acceptable limits (maximum 40 metres)
  • No Water Access within acceptable limits (maximum 20 metres)
  • Power Lines positioned above Setup Area
